Hey folks, I'm already planning my spring road trip to table rock lake from Colorado and have a prop question.

I'm running a high five prop at 5,000 ft altitude, and this prop puts me right at 5000 rpm max for my volvo penta 5.0 gi engine, which is going to be too much for lower altitude running. I do have a spare stainless steel 21 p that I had for my last boat that was a mercruiser. This prop doesn't match the splines of my volvo sx drive. I couldn't tell if I could press out the internal part of this prop and don't want to damage it as my thoughts are that it is "coned" on the inside of the hub and I don't want try to push it the wrong way. Any advice would be appreciated.

What pitch is the High5 and what is the series of the 21P prop, or what is the P/N of the 21P prop? Some props have a replaceable "Flo-Torq" hub that can changed over to Volvo, requires a different Flo-Torq kit, $30-40.

My high 5 is a 21P, The prop I want to use in Missouri is stamped only with an M22, which I'm assuming means Mercruiser 22P? The high five has the flo-torq hub kit obviously since it is being used on my boat :)

there is a brass end cap on the ss 22p but I can't figure out what kind of tool would be used to unscrew it and which way the threads run. We don't have a lot of knowledgeable boat shops around here, and the one I like to use is swamped with winterizing right now, so I won't get an experienced person waiting on me. I'm going to wait a few weeks and take this prop in and see if it can be used or traded for something else. Thanks for your response
