what is considered a speed prop? high or low pitch numbers

I have a 1995 Honda bf25 detuned to a 20 hp, what prop should I use a 20hp or 25hp? in 1995 they didn't make a 20 hp so I don't know what to use.

I was told it was designed for like sail boats so it has more power with lower rpm. I have it on a small boat so I would like all the speed I can get.

thanks:suzzie

Lower pitch props revs higher, achieves better hole shot with less top end speed while consuming more fuel as opposed to higher pitch ones.

You need a tachometer and GPS to test it properly.
If your current prop lets the engine run in the recommended WOT range then it's probably ok.

Ideal would be for that prop to rev between middle to max wot rpm while lightly loaded, Test on flat calm, no wind water cond. Get the factory wot range. Can play with prop pitches to maximize engine performance to best suit your application.
