Prop pitch?

Can I have the pitch on a new prop changed? I had a prop shop change the pitch on my brass wheel on my former diesel inboard, but can they change aluminum outboard props? <br />One more question. When I get the boat propped correctly and at 5500 w.o.t., what is an acceptable cruising rpm? I am trying to get the hang of outboarding.

Krosemond<br />You would probably be better off getting a new SS prop if you are going to spend the money assuming that you have a high hp motor.
