I'm trying to find out if I'm overproped, but don't know how to tell what the pitch is. The prop I have has a 9" diameter and the number 7350. When I search it as a part number I find a fuel pump. Is there a way to measure pitch?

Well the best way to see if your over pitched is to see what the WOT RPM is and compare it to what it should be. If you are over pitched it will be low, if your under pitched it will be high.

To find the prop by that number you need to know what the maker is and you might find it in the prop selector on Iboats.

Re: Prop Pitch Idenification?

I'm not reaching the right RPMs, thats why I'm looking at the prop. I've rebuilt the carb, replaced the coils, cleaned and regapped the points, adjusted jets, adjusted throttle, changed the trim and still not getting there so I'm looking at the prop. 7350 is the only thing on the prop I can find to identify it.

If my prop is 13" I'll get an 11." If its 11" I'll get 9", but I don't know what I have to start with.
