This is my fourth year boating. So Today at a very low speed I clipped a log, and bent one prop blade. My boat is a 93 Stingray 606zxp, 20ft open bow. The boat has a 4.3 mercruiser/alpha 1 stern drive. The prop is a Quciksilver LaserII. The pitch is 23, after looking at a couple of prop selectors online, the boat calls for a 18 to 19 pitch prop. I'm not going to put out the money the laser II costs, due to selling the boat at the end of the year to upgrade. So more than likely, an aluminum prop will be what I go with. I'm also going to contact a boat dealer in Winchester tomorrow, about straightening the existing prop. We live on the Potomac, and are on the boat every weekend so I'm going to purchase a new prop this week, just don't want to purchase the wrong pitch. Thanks for reading this long winded post, and any information would be greatly appreciated.
