prop ID, help.

Is there some site somewhere that somebody could just enter the numbers off of a prop to find out what it goes on?

A buddy of mine just dumped a bunch of parts on me and there's a 14" aluminum prop, 15 spline, # 1470 on one side and 18172 on the other.

You may find the diameter and pitch under where the prop nut goes
and perhaps a part number.Larger,Merc and Mercruiser props are 15 spline
and about 14" diameter.

Ok, I found the number under where the prop nut goes.
It was really dificult to read but it looks like 48-5342C-23

Ayuh,... That's a Mercruiser prop, in 23" pitch...
