Prop Help

I need a new prop for my 99 nissan 30hp o/b I tried to put my friends ss 10 1/8 x 12 on it and it wouldn't fit on my shaft. His motor is a 2001 25hp nissan. Shouldn't the same prop fit on it? The spine count on them are both 10 also

A shaft can be the diameter of your arm and still have only 10 splines. Spline count is only one factor in whether props will transfer between engines. Diameter is another. Hub dimensions are another.
