I am looking at buying a 2004 Chaparral 260 Signature cruiser with a 6.2L MerCruiser w/Bravo 3 Outdrive. This boat does have a generator so it weights a little less than 6000lbs. I understand this is not a ski boat but it meets more of my needs. I do not want to give up some occasional skiing and tubing. Will this boat be able to plane and pull? What prop set up should I have for the dual prop settup?

Re: Prop for skiing with cruiser

Please read the stickies at the top of the page and the prop helps on the prop store page.
If you get your boat on the water and do some tests; hole shot, planing speed, and max rpm and speed also the prop(s) size, and gear ratio if possible.
It will be much easier to tell about your boats ability and what it may need to ski.
It will also tell us if its setup right now.You can ski behind almost anything with some attention to setup. Someone here should be aquainted with a dual prop
setup.I don't think you would be out of line to post in the I/O section
The I/O guys may be aware of any cautions setting up a dual prop.
