I have a hard time finding a prop for my 1982 Evinrude V4 90hp crossflow. I am looking for a 23 or 25 pitch prop. Currently running a 21P alloy but I am over 6000rpm at +45mph. Anyone know of a good search? ( on a '70s English 16ft boat)

Generally, motors of that HP on std boats cannot spin a large pitch prop like what you suggest. That is likely why you are finding them to be hard to find. 21" pitch is usually the max for them.

Are you sure that your tach is accurate? Try Turning point props. They should have at least a 23" pitch prop that will fit.

What boat is it on?----What setting on your tachometer?----That motor on a light 16' boat would normally use a 19" pitch.---You are sure it is not a 140 HP powerhead ?----There was a 23" 2 blade bronze prop ( cupped ) available at one time.----A 24" raker was available at one time.-----Might find one on E-bay or at some " collectors " work bench.

If you are doing 45mph with a 21" Prop, you are turning about 5000
I would check the Setting on the Tachometer
Must be a Very Light, and I mean Very Light, 16ft to get that speed with an 82 90hp
Even Glastron's light little 15 ft, got about 42mph with an 82 90hp
