Hello I have Carolina skiff venture fs 18 foot fish and ski with a Tohatsu 140.
it takes for ever getting on plane and is about 800 rpm from peak power. It now has a power tech 3 blade 13 inch 20 pitch prop. I'm not looking for top speed so I was thinking about a 4 blade prop for better hole shot and mid-range. My new Nauticas smart tabs came today 80 lb. What would be a good size and pitch on the 4 blade prop for s little more rpm. Thanks hope I didn't talk too much

I doubt that you have a lot of slippage as a problem, so a four blade may not be what you need. You have the get that motor revving up in the power band and make some HP. A 17 pitch 3 blade would be a good start. the problem is that we aren't trying to fine tune, you need a drastic change.

Each inch of pitch is worth about 200rpm. So to gain 800rpm, you'll need to drop 4" of pitch. Go to a 16" picth and see how that goes. If you really want a 4blade (and they are smoother, but you lose a little top end), then use the same pitch.
