Re: Prop difference

Probably will get the most RPM from the Solas in SS... the 24-10 composition of the Solas makes a decent prop..it's a tad thinner with the same basic cup.
15-1/2 vs. 14-1/2....the 15-1/2 diameter would be best for high hp heavy boats while the 14-1/2" is a better fit for a lighter, faster boat in this particular blade design.

Not sure what you're after in RPM, but there are ways of achieving higher RPM by changing the set-up if it's an outboard.

Good to hear the plate is working! how high up have you run it?
The Lexor is a Solas, yes...It's a copy of the Merc Mirage for the most part. I ran a few of the Lexors for Solas and they do a good job over-all. Good load-haulers and have some speed too but I don't think they would be the best choice with a jackplate...I tested the ones I had with a plate, but they don't hold well at the heights a "better" quality, smaller diameter prop will.
I ran them on our wellcraft too, and they did seem to perform quite well submerged.
