2004 PT175 Bass Tracker, 2004 25hp 4stroke BIG FOOT.
Bought the boat with one season on it (few years ago) and needed a new prop. I walked into west marine and had them order one. Dont have packing slip, reciept....so i dont know the part number.
Wrecked the prop on openning day on a floating tree.
I looked everywhere on the prop for a part number and cant find one. The only numbers i see are the hub part numbers which are "031015".
The motor has a sticker on it with the ratio and such.
12x29 2.42:1
Im guessing, 12x29 is the pitch and something else? Followed by the gear ratio. Really, at this point (after internet searches and reading) im not even sure if the 12x29 has anything to do with the pitch or size of the prop!!!!
The prop west marine ordered seemed indenticle to the bad one on the boat when i bought it. It ran fine RPM's and seems to be the correct prop.
Ive seen TOO MANY different pitches and sizes on the internet to confuseany novice, so i have no clue what i need. Im guessing i can find the prop size, like any other dummy, but from there im LOST
Thanks for any help,
Jon
