Hi, I have a 1984 Evinrude 70 hp motor Depeneding on which book you look in there are many props that fit this engine. It all depends on what you want to do! I have a 14x17 prop thats for this motor I want to try this season. I just went to put it on the motor and theres only about 1/8 clearance fon the top cavataion plate is this ok? The last prop I used was a 13 3/4x15 I am not concerned about preformance I will figure that out I want to know if this is safe?<br />steve
