I seem to have alot of prop chatter on my 06 F150. At lest I think it's prop chatter, I hear about balancer failure in the 06-F150's. The engine claters on the muffs and when in neutral, it goes away in gear after you start putting the throlle to it. Am I being paranoid? Should I change out the balancer now (550 hrs) ? Thanks for your thoughts on this.

Re: Prop chatter ?

Sounds like your shift dogs are hitting on the gear dogs. Adjust the shift linkage so the dogs do not hit on either the forward or the reverse gears.

Prop chatter is a a well known issue with the F150 using a non Yamaha prop. What do you have on yours?
Not serious, just aggravating. You don't have a balancer problem.
