I thinking about doing a project this winter. I have found a 1990 Four Winns 200 Horizen. This boat has been sitting for the last four to five years. The owner says it was winterized before put in storage. The thing that woories me most is the engine. It has a 5.7 OMC with a Cobra outdrive.

The interior is completly shoot and the floors will have to be replaced. It has a pretty good tandem axle trailer and of course the tires are flat. The hull looks good with the exception of oxidation.

I can get it for under a grand. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Thanks to all.

There are a few places that still have some parts laying around for the old girl. Its not like looking for a tail light for a Tucker...

Re: Project Boat

Parts arn't THAT hard to find for OMC.

Ayuh,.... Right....

Go for a boat ride,+ WACK the outdrive off the boat, then tell your parts supplier you need a New 1....:(

If you're stepping into a new Unknown project,...
Why O Why would you make it Harder on yourself buying something that parts, while available are More work to find,+ More expensive when,+ if you can, or do....
