Program to make a flyer?

Might there be any decent freeware programs to make an 8.5 x 11" flyer, with pictures?

I need to help my dear departed Father's wife put her Mobil Home on the market. She will be moving back to Wisconson where all her family is.

A sign will be posted at the park, with the little plastic box to hold descriptive flyers.

I figure if I can make a decent flyer, I can take it down and have some copies made for a reasonable price.

I will also be putting up an ad on Craigslist.

Use the Impress app in OpenOffice.Org.

You can do it in Microsoft Office, using Word.

Microsoft Office Pro Publisher or in word.......... oops not free but open office is

Open Office should work fine, we have used it to make fliers and never had a problem, you can embed pictures and have everything available to you that word offers, including a Power Point clone.

When you put your add on craigslist....create an album on photobucket.com (or something similar) and insert the pictures into your CL ad. They can be much higher quality than the ones you upload to CL which then get shrunk and compressed. Make sure you also upload at least one to CL to your ad still shows the "pics" icon.
