Have been using Parker water separating fuel filters on my carborated 90HP Merc. 2 stroke for several years. Recently purchased Mercury replacement filter S3213. Verified with dealer this filter matches my motor. Screwed on new filter and started having fuel starvation problems. Once the motor used up the fuel in the fuel line it seems it cannot pull fuel from the filter. Bypassed filter and motor runs strong. Returned filter for another new one and have the same problem. When these filters are installed I cannot pump the squeeze bulb to achieve a firm bulb. Fuel lines are correct size and new and there are no fuel or air leaks. Please advise.
