Problems with a 1994 Chap. 2300 sx w/454 Bravo one

Hi there, this is my first post and my first boat.I I just bought this boat and third time out cost me almost $3000 but I am trying to put that behind me. Let me say, I am by no means a mechanic but I am determined to to spend an arm and a leg on this boat, a little bit of a vent there, sorry.

My problem is the belts, does anyone have a pic of how the belts are set up. Does anyone else have this motor combo on the year or similar year boat? The boat had the belts off when I bought it, so I configured the belts but they are making a horrible noise and now they are slipping. I think I set them up wrong with the tensioner???? Please help this ignorant boat person become a boat lover!!!!!!
