problem with98 johnson225hp?

i have an issue with fuel pump or blockage. can any on etell me if this engine is a vro or oms. i am premixing 50;1 its sucking bulb dry after about 3 minutes at idle . i can pump bulb back up and take of on plane runs fine at wot till last week it started surging at take off would this be fuel pump or a blockage . forgot to mention that i changed bulb,filter seperator checked all fittings and lines up to seperator.

Probably a blockage. If the bulb is collapsing usually it's a blockage between the bulb and the tank. Try looking the hose with your primer bulb directly to a tank. It's likely a bad primer bulb or a clogged pickup.

I bought a hose/bulb kit from Wal-Mart and it didn't work worth a damn. I traced the same problem back to the primer bulb.
