oil inject

I have 25hp Johnson 3 cyls. bought it last year. The oil in the tank should going down as engine consume, but it is going back up and over flow and smell like gasoline in it.<br />Can someone please tell me what is the cause of this problem and how can i diagnose the oil pump before i try to rebuilt it. Any info would be very appreciated. Thanks
