Problem with New Mag 350 MPI Engine

I just had a new Mag 350 MPI installed in my boat. The engine surgs 100 to 200 rpms when running at higher RPMS. Any ideas on what could<br />be causing this. This is an inboard/outboard with An Alpha One Gen II outdrive.<br /><br />Also how hot should the exhaust manifold get on this engine they seem alot hotter than my old 305? The risers on the other hand seem fine. The temperture gage show the temp is good at 180 degrees.

check your fuel system for anything out of place, clamps tight, new hose, was the filter replaced? dump it and inspect the contents.<br />if everything checks out there check all your battery connections at the battery and at the engine, check your main harness plug is tight and has a clamp installed. the next step involves a service manual and more tools. check the basics first.
