problem with 7.4 volvo

I have a 1998 7.4 efi that I can't get running. It will start for a few seconds then shut down like it's running out of fuel. both the low and high pressure pumps are new. I checked the resivior tank it is clean all the lines are clean I replaced the line from the tank to the low pressure pump. it does the same thing gravity feeding the low pressure pump with fuel. The problem started out that it would idle and take off for about 75 yards then die so I went through the fuel system as I stated and the problem seems to be worse.Any ideas would be greatly appricated. What is the full Model number of your engine. The 7.4's had 2 different systems in 98.
Have you done any fuel pump pressure tests? Or checked for trouble codes in the ECM?

I am going to try and get some fuel pressure readings this weekend. The only model I can find is 7.4 GSI. I can not read the tag on the valve cover. As far as the codes go Im not sure how to get them I don't have a scanner. If there is info that would help me get them I would appricate it. Thanks
