problem with 1990 30 hp suzuki

i have a 1990 30 hp suzuki oil injected. we just bought it couple weeks ago. we tested it yesturday it was running fine for an hour. we cut it off for a sec and it wouldn't start it would try to but the starter wasn't leting the gear go to the flywheel long. when it would go down it would still spin until the key was took out.<br />so we took it home and there was some gas in it it still wouldn't start so we took our old gas tank and we tried it andit started. but the starter still wasn't staying up long on the flywheel. but it started. our old engine was a 35 hp force and you had to mix the gas. but we had to see if it would start would the oil in the gas tank hurt the engine.<br />please help me. <br />you can email me at <br />rkoenigsma@aol.com

1)Get the starting motor serviced - the bendix drive needs service.<br /><br />2)The premix fuel wont hurt the engine.<br /><br />Had a 90 Suzuki 30 hp 3 cyl just like yours for 8 years - great engine newer had any troubles with it.
