Trying to help a friend who has this motor. Motor was running fine, then suddenly lost power and had to lip in. Tried to re-start motor, turns over, have good spark at all cylinders, but nothing. Besides fuel delivery, is there anything else to look for causing the problem? He is going to order a manual.

check the compression on all cyl. when was the last time it was run, before this. you almost have to flood them to get them to start. they like lots of gas to start.

Sorry if I did not make myself clear. This problem occurred while in use. The motor lost power and would not increase rpm's. Had to limp home on available thrust. When it was turned off, could not get it restarted.

Does the bulb stay hard after priming it?

RG33,
I had the same problem on a 78' 115, as it turns out, two of my floats were sinking after a few hours of useage after each outing, take off the cowl while in neutral and give it a quick look over, i had fuel sping from the carbs, hopefully it'll be something obvious. Good Luck.

You gotta do a compression test... something sounds funny here.

After further thought, both of you are correct. It will have to be taken to a shop and get a compression test done. Monday morning I will contact some shops to see if and when it can be done. I thank you all for your opinions and will report back results.

Sorry for not answering your question. Other than in a barrel, this was the first time out this year.
