Took boat out first time this year and ran great for about 30 minutes then engine acted as if someone turned the key off while at full throttle.
When tried restart would only start & run (very rough) at 1/3 throttle all plugs are wet,Replaced them with no change. Have manual but not the million special tools needed to test with. Any suggestions? Model #J150GLENC

Howdy Tex.

You have dropped 2 or 3 cylinders. Do a search for no power under load and read the detailed troubleshooting suggestions.

If you still have questiuons come back with what you have done and found.

Good luck. :)

Thanks for responding bud,I didn't find the listing in Clymer, But did check coils by ohmmeter, it's a cheap one, But all readings were consistant. Did notice that when pumped fuel bulb to pressurise fuel system Starboard side bottom two intakes leaked fuel. So attempted start with flush in driveway and spray with cleaner. Runs a little better but fuel coming out intake is worse. If needs carb rebuild should I do it or the shop, worked on bikes a long time ago really need a flow meter to adjust balance of carbs are these differant?
Also what does it take to make this 150 a 175? I'm guessing it has to do with the carbs if so instead of repair maybe upgrade.
Where the heck is Whit?
