pro lube hubs

Has anyone heard of these or have these. I seen them in Cabelas catalog. It appears that the bearings use 50 weight oil instead of grease. Then to maintain, just change oil.<br />Seems easy enough but.....<br />Any thoughts?

They're great. <br /><br />They're nothing new. The trucking industry has used "wet" hubs for years.<br /><br />The beauty of them is that you can see the level of lube with just a glance. If there is oil in there, both bearings are getting lubed.<br /><br />There is never a need to "repack" them. Should they become contaminated you just drain the oil and refill.
