Hi there,
I was wondering how hard should the primer bulb stay hard for during operation. I hae a Honda 40 and I think the primer bulb is not worjking correctly. It goes soft very quickly after the motor has been turned off. Is this normal or should they stay hard for much longer than this.

Any thoughts

thanks

Hi kelliag, wow, I wouldn't touch this subject with the proverbial 10 foot pole. I'm still laughing, sorry................

Re: primer bulb

kellaig...I'll give it a shot here. Once you got the primer bulb pumped up, what you have done is filled the gas system. With no place to go, the bulb will get......firm. Once the engine is operating and gas flowing, the bulb is still full but not.....firm.....because of the fuel flow. Hope that explains it in a gentlemanly way.

Hey slowlysinking....that wasn't hard now was it.

LOL!!
