Boat Details in signature....

Need to get a ball park value. Below is a list of issues.

Short and sweet, here is what is wrong:

-Transom moves quite a bit when you pull up and down on the drives.

-Starboard 470 engine leaks out cam seals, and has a blown exhaust manifold gasket. Starter seems weak like it needs refreshed.

-Starboard drive trim motor needs refreshed as it was sluggish, now does not work at all. (Brushes & commutator service)

-Port engine runs nice mechanically but has a fuel problem with carb or fuel pump, it will not accelerate, rather it stalls. I can run out of gear all day long though.

-Trim tab motor is inop, not sure why.

I know this sounds ugly, but other than the transom, the problems are fixable. Redoing a transom is not somthing I can handle from a skill level or physically. Engine work I guess I can do, but after finding the transom, why bother.......

Looking to take back to the auction and dump for whatever somone will pay & take a loss. Or would I be better pulling the two engines & drives and paying about $600 to scrap the hull. I know right now I will not be breaking even either way.

Honestly, it's worth FAR more being parted than it is selling out right. I had a 27'er with twin 3.7LXs and a trashed hull. I parted the motors, and a ton of small items and was able to get rid of the hull for a $100 tailer rental. In the end I made a few thousand dollars, but it was a lot of work showing the parts and selling everything.

I would say list it out there honestly, for maybe $1000. You might get lucky and sell it, but an old hull with a rotted transom and two motors with issues, might not be the best seller.

Would you have an approx value on the engines, drives, and trailer? Drives show corrosion but work well with no water intrusion & have brand new impeller kits. Although both engines need a bit of TLC, they are good engines internally.

Trailer is excellent. Probably a 7.5 of 10 condition or better. It is a loadrite bunk style.
