ok Guys and Gals.
Trailer redo is done except for carpet and paint and new hubs wheels and tires. Pics to follow as soon as I figure how to get them from my phone to the computer.

I have started to to work on the pontoons and have discovered numerous dings and deep scratches on the bottom and several places where previous owner patched small holes. I will be using this boat in salt water so I think rolling or brushing a couple of coats of ( Alvins Lab Metal) on the bottom third of the pontoons will at least make me feel better. What do you think?
Thanks

Sure, that is always a good idea, certainly no harm and get some anodes on the tubes and motor pod and you should be fine.

I know nothing about "Alvins lab metal" except it appears it contains aluminum.
I think you might have some wild galvanic reactions with a layer of aluminum on aluminum.
Bonding things together and plenty of anodes should help.perhaps some sort of inert coating on the tubes.

If you'll be storing the boat in saltwater, then you will need a protective coating. If not, then a freshwater washdown after each usage will surfice.
