So, I am curious on the direct comparison of the two. Side by side. I know that we have talked some about it before, but I cant think of ever seeing a side by side comparison. Just thought it would be neat to do.
I personally am having a hard time with CD units right now in my brain. Of course any time you take away more mechanics and replace with more electronics it simplifies but in my opinion makes it less 'user workable'. But maybe that is just me. That is why I am curious on others feelings, ideas, and experience with them.
Just on a side note, has anyone ever tried to rebuild a CD unit, or is there a whole lot more involved than just replacing transistors, resistors, and capacitors inside one? I know that those parts are extremely cheap in comparison with a new/used CD unit.
