Pressure Tank?

Hello!

I just purchased a 1950 Johnson QD-11 motor that seems in decent shape...

It came with two tanks (see pics). Is this a pressure tank? I don't think so, so what kind of tank is it? The motor does not appear to have been converted to fuel pump.

Thats a standard single line tank.

couldn't you remove the vent screw on the cap, install a barb fitting, and make it a pressure tank?

ok, thats what I was thinkin'. I am bidding on ebay on the guts for a real pressure tank. I thought it would not be too difficult to convert over. If I win the auction I will post results.

NO!!! No you cannot convert it to a pressure tank. At least not easy and certainly not safe. Don't even think about it!!!!

If you want to convert something, put a fuel pump on the motor, then you can use this tank.
