Pressed in hub - remove or find washers?

Hello, total newbie with props.
Got a boat recently with bad prop.

Current prop has a Flo Torq II hub kit in it.
Found used prop nearby from same stern drive ( alpha one gen 1 ).

However new prop seems to have a pressed in hub, see the pic.
I've tried removing it to replace with Flo Torq kit instead, but it barely moved.

So my question is i guess - can it even be removed, do i need to waste my time with a bigger hammer?
Or should i get the 2 washers for this prop instead?

You need a hefty press to take that out.----Not sure if a flo-tork kit will fit either.----Is 21" pitch the prop you need ?

Gee, why remove (ruin) a perfectly good prop hub. It is doubtful a flo torque hub will replace the original pressed in hub anyway. and what exactly would be the point?

It should use the same thrust washer as the flo torque. It should also use a standard Mercury spider washer and splined fitting under the spider washer.

Flo torque hubs were invented to allow propeller types to be more general, saving manufacturers $$. The prop from my Johnny V6 will fit my MerCruiser and Mercury V6 outboard, by changing the hub.

I see, won't try to ruin it then!
Good to know the flo torq thrust washer will work fine.

Would you know by chance the spider washer part number?
I tried finding exact matching one, but it's out of stock everywhere - kit number 990312

Tab Washer 14-816629Q AKA spider washer. I expect this to be widely available.

Splined WASHER 12-31211Q03 Not all props need this. Some have it attached to the prop itself. Likely you will need to go to a prop shop or a Merc dealer for this.

The flo torque thrust washer (under the prop) should work fine. Install the prop over the thrust washer and put the Splined washer and tab washer over the prop and tighten 'em down. If the prop doesn't move in-out on the shaft, the fit is correct.

If you have a marine dealer handy, you would be surprised at the pile of props and thrust washers they probably have accumulated over the years.
