I have a 1996 Seadoo GTX 787 motor that was taken out of the ski that was stolen from me two years ago and returned to me when the police recovered it. I have replaced the pair of 96's that were stolen with two 97's. I pulled the motor that was left in the one to save it as a possible replacement if one of the 97's blow. The ski's were pretty stripped and I could not start it, but the compression was fine. Question is, since it was pretty stripped, and was recovered in a garage, but when sat in a recovery lot for 3 weeks, rain water got in the engine. I took out plugs, exhaust, carbs, and valves, hooked up a battery to turn it over and shot in fogging oil liberally everywhere. Is there anything else I should do ?. I was thinking of pouring some two-stroke oil in and turning it over, but maybe that would be too thick and would cause problems later. Also, if anyone needs a decent 96 GTX hull for free, if you want to come to Northern Ohio you can have it..
