Preheating the microwave oven!!

The following is true. <br /><br />Someone I know was telling me that her microwave oven caught fire. She did not understand how this could happen. She then went on to let me know that she always "preheated" the microwave oven before cooking any food. <br /><br />This actually did happen. Wanted to share it because things like this are not that uncommon. It sure makes for a good laugh.

Try putting a CD in one for about 10 - 30 seconds!

Try putting an unprocessed check in one, and zap it for a few seconds.<br /><br />It ruins the little magnetic coding on the check, and the bank has to hand process it. It can gain you a couple of days of float on your account.

Them silver plastic pop tart wrappers sure are pretty when you put them in the microwave.

My first wife put in a chicken, set the time for half an hour....<br /><br />It came out like a fossil.... hard as a rock.

mmmm fossilized chicken and half baked taters. I think I made that once myself . thats why when I was learning to cook the kids kept dominoes number handy. did not need a timer I got a smoke alarm <br /> but over the years I did manage to get fair at the sport
