Preferred method to fog a Cat equipped engine?

This will be the first year I do a complete winterization on my 350mag cat. I don’t plan on unhooking the fuel line and hooking up a 2.5 gallon jug of mixed gas. That being said, is it better to take the cool fuel filter out and dump 2 stroke gas in module and filter housing then start and run the engine, or take each spark plug out, squirt fogging oil in the cylinder, and turn the engine over a couple times without starting?

My concern is the 2 stroke fuel on the cats?

No two stroke oil, no fogging oil

Just run it on merc stabilizer in the fuel tank and your good

Plus any annual/routine maintenance, of course

My Mercruiser Manual (6.2L ECT (CATS)) states to use the 10% 2-cycle mix.

So, it must not be all that bad . . .

One thing I did notice is that the ECT engine do not like to run out of fuel. I usually empty the fuel tank and then add 5 gallons of the 'mix' back into the tank.

DO NOTHING BUT STABILIZER IN GAS IF YOU WANT. Last you thing you want is fouled spark plugs, fouled 4 oxygen sensors, fouled catalyst. boat will rot out before you ever wear it out.

Manual now says to use 2 stroke mix. Been doing it for years now on my mpi.
