My boat came with an after market SBC 350 block # 10243880. It comes up as a 95-00 GM crate motor with rollercam and listed as ZZ4. Not sure what the ZZ4 designation is about. I just had the motor rebuilt. It has standard pistons and standard bore (just had to rehone cylinder bores), "standard" heads (original engine had high compression heads, my machinist recommended non-high compression heads), crank turned .010. I'm not sure what the specs are on the cam, but was wondering if the cam is designed to push my 20 foot boat that I plan to use for basic boating, tubing, with up to 6 adults in the boat. I know alot depends on the prop, but I'm looking for basic recommendations for the type of cam that is preferred for a boat this size. Is a cam with low rpm range, mid, or high rpm range referred. Bonus question: What is the safe max rpm that I should plan for this boat. Sorry don't know what the prop specs are. Thanks.

Stick with the stock marine roller cam, it is one of the best going, it is the same cam as is used in the 383 cid GM crate motor
