Pre-1984 Johnson Gearcase parts

have a 77 Johnson 35hp

Looks like the clutch dog for the Sierra part 18-1290 has 3 ears as opposed to two. I guess a 3 eared dog won't work with a 2 eared reverse gear?

Also looks like that dog requires a different cradle and shift lever. Even if I bought the R,P,F gears from Sierra, I don't know if they will work with my cradle and lever. Could be a bummer.
