powerpack replacement

I have a 1985 johnson V4 90 hp... after replacing powerpacks, engine is quieter then before, and seems to be missing or timing is off,, can anyone that has replaced powerpacks on this model or close to it, tell me if the timing had to be corrected and if your engine seemed not as loud as before,,<br /><br />any answers on this would be great<br /><br />thank you

dogtoy....recheck the timing. Should do this after replacing power packs. My 90 is a 86'. Remember to check the timing at wide open throttle. And do be careful. Hangin' on and checking timeing all at the same time can be hairy at times. <br /><br />Keep us posted...thanks.
