After 200 metered worked hours my beloved 2 strokes Tohatsu 18 HP was running quite good throughout the whole throttle range. but not that smooth at idle, bought a can of CRC Power Tuner carbon remover, sprayed 1/3 through carb throat at intervals varying engine rpm whie on muffs. Smoked worst than a full indian tribe. Went full blast untill engine dropped dead, let soak for an hour.

Pulled cord several times to clear power tuner, replaced plugs back, went for a 5 minute wot spin and voila, now engine purrs back as a kitten, smooth as when new. This product really does its work flawlessly, highly recommended. Was wondering if 1/3 can is sufficient. If you're a regular power tuner user, how much do you generally squirt ?

TR,

Yes same precise stuff. Used to use Evinrude's foamy Power Tuner, no longer available here. BTW we don't have carbon guard products to add to 2 strokes gas/oil mixtures, That's why need to use PT instead. How much of total can would be sufficient to squirt through carb with engine on while running at different rpms ?

Iboats sells this product. Here are the directions from their website.
They say to use the entire can?

TR,

Probably a entire can is for an oldie that's never been decarboned during it's entire life. If you don't use regularly carbon guard proucts mixed on tank you need to squirt PT every 100 meterd worked hours for engine to remain running as a champ. For my 18, 1/3 can was more than enough. This CRC does his homework with honors...
