Power Trim

Power trim quit working, I know I am getting power to the motor, I replaced the motor and pump assembly with a 2 wire system. If I push the up or down switch a couple of times, it blows the 30 amp fuse now. You hear the relay click, motor tries to run but then the fuse blows. It was doing the same thing as when the other pump and motor were on there. Before I could tap the side of the motor with a rubber mallet and it would work again. Any ideas?

Was your system 3 wire before ?----If so what changes were made to wiring ?

If you put a new motor in and it does the same thing, you've got a short in the wiring.

I know the motor is trying to turn. What in the trim unit could bind up?
