power trim seal kit

I need a new seal kit on my volvo penta 3.0 sx-a engine. I was told the parts are close to $800 plus labor for about $1000. Am I getting ripped off??

Have no idea what "seal kit" you are referring to, the 3.0 is an engine, the sx-a is an outdrive.
Perhaps some details, model numbers, part numbers etc. would help.
