I have a couple issues with my power trim. First, the trim motor just mysteriously quit on me. I used the power trim one weekend to raise and lower the outdrive for some maintenance and it was just fine. I went to use it the next weekend to raise the outdrive to do some trailer wiring and the trim pump is just plain dead. I checked all the wiring and didn't see anything that had come loose or corroded. Is there some way to jump across the solenoids to check and see if its the motor or the solenoids? Second issue, my trim rams seem to be leaking down over time. Is it possible to pressure test them like you would an outdrive to see if its actually the rams or possibly seals in the pump? I would like to try to isolate my problem before I start throwing money at it replacing unnessessary parts. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and sorry for the novel!
