Power trim for Johnson.

Can anyone tell me what power trim [ years and hp.motors ]would fit my 77 johnson. 70EL77S. I think I will have to buy an old mtr. one that is junked out to get a trim unit. I don't seem to find just the trim unit. My old 77 is to good to just put to sleep, and we all know what a new one costs ,[ ouch] Thanks Mick

Hootowl....take a look at the link to iboats store. It has some CMC TNT units. Might consider this option. You really get the best (or nearly the best) of two worlds. A TNT unit and a jack plate.

Thanks Admiral . That may not be such a bad idea. I never gave it a second thought. I was thinking 2 or 3 hundred bucks, but I would still have an old trim that wouldn't be worth much if the old johney shoots craps. I also see where a new trim [motor] costs about 300$. It doesn't hurt to think out side the box some times. I might even find a used one . lol Mick
