power trim fitment

Hello Fellas. this isn't exactly a mechanical issue but i'm looking for some help. i have a 1997 e40reuc. it came with just trim assist. I"m looking to fit it with power. now my issue i found a 92 3 cylinder 60hp motor found that has dropped a piston. i'm wondering if there is any way to make it work? i have tried some cross referencing but according to that it won't work. Just curious if any one has ever made one work. thanks alot
