power trim and tilt.

My 50 originally came as a jet on my tunnel hull but was so fuel thirsty I installed a gearcase. I could really use power trim and tilt but cant justify the cost of a new unit.
Anyone have any leads or ideas where I might find a used system?

I'm in the Chicago area and have had no luck finding a trim tilt unit for my 50, so does anyone have any good sources for used Honda parts?

Have you considered a aftermarket /CMC unit?

it wont work, the boat is a tunnel hull and the bottom of the CMC unit catches and disrupts the water flowing under the tunnel which then causes cavitation

I'll just have to keep browsing till I find a blown or junk 40 or 50 with the trim and tilt

I'm also exploring the idea of adapting a similar OMC or Merc.

I'll have to fire up the spool gun for that one
