1989 Merc100hp, oil injection 2-stroke. How to check the hydraulic fluid level for the power tilt? What kind of fluid to use?

That motor had 3 different tilt systems.
If the trim motor is next to the transom bracket, do as QBoy said.
There is a large hex he'd plug on the side of the trim motor.
This is pressurized, motor must be up.

If you have a 3 ram trim system, where the trim motor is located between the transom brackets, you just open the cap on the port side of the bracket and fill it.

The system could use either 30 wt motor oil, or a thin
transmission fluid.
Fill it with what is currently in there.

Thanks to you both. Topped it off with ARF-F. Works like a charm. I'm READY to hit Lake Michigan for early season salmon and lakers.
