I have an intermittent problem with the power tilt not working...usually to raise the engine back up from the lowered position... I can hear the solenoid click but the motor does not bring the engine back up..I have checked all the connections at the solenoid..and the wire harness plug at the motor..but have not found anything obvious...I have purchased a new solenoid but have not installed it yet.. Seems like there is only the solenoid, switch at the controls, and the actual motor involved in the circuit...I am wondering if there is a common part out there that causes this problem..Thanks for any suggestions

Does the motor run?
Have you checked the fluid level?

Should be easy to check the relay.
Simply swap the 2 relays.
If the relay is bad, the motor should raise, but not lower.

The motor does run...This is an intermittent problem... I have not checked the fluid level...and I do have a replacement solenoid/relay that I just received in the mail...Going up to where the boat is at this weekend, so will check those things...Thanks for your suggestions!

A Break in a wire can end up being an Intermittent problem. Could also be a grounding Issue

Very good point... I checked and cleaned all the wire connections at the solenoid...and checked the harness connector at the engine...but will look closer at the wiring and grounds...I have not looked at the wiring leading to the control switch yet..Thanks for your suggestions!

You say the Solenoid Clicks when the control is activated. If the clicking was intermittent, I would suspect the Wiring to the Control and the Control itself
