Power Tilt 115 Yammie

Hi. <br />I have a 2001 115hp 4 Stroke Yammie. The power tilt does not work on occasions. It gets about 1/2 up and will not go any further. Drop the motor back down and up a couple of times and it's fine. Have checked the oil level and it's full. Any ideas please.

When the motor stops going up, does the Trim Motor still run, or does the entire system stop all together?

The pump motor still runs, but there is a change in pitch, similar to the noise it makes when the engine has reached it's upper stop.
