Looking for help to find cross over numbers for a 5.7 1980s or late 70s power steering pump. The one from the dealer is $850.00 I was hoping to find one from a wrecker out of a truck with a 350 or something.
Thank you for your help.

Howdy,

Welcome aboard!

Take your old PS pump to Autozone/NAPA/Oreiliys etc. They can sell you an equivalent pump. They're not special. Just the tank/fittings are "special"

If it's leaking out the top get a fresh cap. They have a gasket in them. About 5 or 6 bucks. You can also reseal it with chevy truck pump parts if it's a functional leaker. They have em at rockauto.com.

A GM PS pump is the same as a marine, except the line connections may differ a little bit on the reservoir housing. Housing / reservoir can be swapped fairly easily to a new pump. For my '92 7.4L, I found this:

For replacing this pump #16792A39, at an auto parts place. The answer: 1990 chevy 2500 pickup, 350CI, 7200# pickup truck.

I called Advanced Auto Parts to see if they had one, they did. PS PUMP-RMFD FENCO #18710201
$49.99

Thank you all for the help. I went to Napa and they mached it no problem. It could be bought with the housing or without. $75.00 after core return.
