power Steering cable replacement

Can someone out there tall me how to remove the cable from a power steering ram??
I have taken the cable loose but how do u disconnect it so i can repalce the steering ram?
I'm working on my SON's 2000 VIP with a 4.3 mercrusier

pin on the end of the cable (port side)

large nut on the stbd side where the cable assy enters the actuator assy, there should be a clamp holding the nut in place, remove that first, then loosen the large nut and slide the cable out

Thank both of you guys for the reply. I will go try it.
I have took all the cables loose and trying to see how it disconnects. Does the whole cable pull out from where i took the pin out of the port side or does it unscrew from the starboard side?? I'm a mechanic for a truck dealership not a marine one LOL

We got it loose and found out that it was frozen in the ram. We also bought a new one for $125 from a dealer here.
